Today, I want to address being courageous.
What happens when taking the risk and venturing into unchartered territory? Well, I know that it can be scarier than hell to leave a sense of familiarity, security, and certainty. The truth is, the more you do it (take the path to the unknown,) the more you grow and transform.
In our youth, we are natural risk takers, but as we age, we learn to fear failure which in return holds us back and we attempt fewer new things.
Our central nervous system prefers that we stay in our comfort zone because it is safe and involves little to no change. Getting out of your comfort zone from time to time creates just enough good stress to ramp up your focus, creativity, drive, and it helps you respond to stress when unexpected things occur, aka (life.)
There is no learning without a little difficulty and fumbling.
Only when we are willing to become comfortable with being uncomfortable can change and growth really take place.
Amazing things do not happen to us because we want them to, they happen to us because we take action and are willing to step out of our comfort zones.
Big shout out to my new clients and yoga challengers starting new things this week. I am inspired by your courage to take the risk and THRIVE to be the best versions of yourself!
